July Fourth Parade
Theme for 2017: “Celebrating the Red, White and Blue!”
All of us at the Roundup take great pride in celebrating our great country. And this year’s parade theme reflects that. Join us in this celebration of the red, white and blue!
Parade Special Appearance: Johnny Crawford
Star of “The Rifleman” TV series, Johnny Crawford will be at our parade this year. Meet him in person after the parade with an autograph session at Hermann Park.
Crawford played young Mark McCain, the son of Lucas McCain, played by Chuck Connors, on the popular series than ran on the ABC network from 1958 until 1963. He was also one of the original Mouseketeers.
Crawford was nominated for an Emmy Award, at age 13, for his role as Mark McCain, the son of Lucas McCain, played by Chuck Connors, in the Four Star Television series The Rifleman, which originally aired from 1958 to 1963. Throughout The Rifleman’s five seasons, a remarkable on-screen chemistry existed between Connors and Crawford in the depiction of their father-son relationship. They were still close friends when Connors died on November 10, 1992, and Crawford gave a eulogy at Connors’ memorial service.
Crawford also appeared on several other television series including Hawaii Five-O, Little House on the Prairie and Murder, She Wrote.
