The Black Hills Roundup PRCA Rodeo kicks-off on Wednesday, July 1 with the first performance of top-tier rodeo talent and a long-standing community tradition. Fans can expect an electric rodeo event as rodeo athletes from across the country competing under the bright lights of the Belle Fourche arena at one of the nation’s most historic rodeos.
As part of opening night, the Roundup proudly hosts Chutes for Charity, a program dedicated to giving back to organizations that make a difference in the region. This special initiative highlights the community spirit that has shaped the Black Hills Roundup for more than a century, allowing rodeo fans and competitors alike to support local causes while celebrating the sport they love.
Night 1 also features an anticipated youth event, Mutton Bustin’. Young riders will take their shot in the main arena, hanging tight during the sheep riding prior to the PRCA performance. This event showcases the next generation of rodeo cowboy and cowgirls along with delivering excitement for fans of all ages.
